Short Story: Part 2

I flung the bag over my shoulder. I gazed into the mirror. There were bags under my eyes, and my perfectly-straight brown hair had knots and tangles. "I can do this," I muttered under my breath. I slowly stepped over the equipment on the floor. I tried my best to not make any noise at all. But guess what? I did. Just as I walked past the Team Lead's door, I knocked down a microscope. Security came rushing in. I pulled my black cloak over my head and started running. I ran until I could. Until there were no footsteps behind me. I sat down beneath a tree. I was lost. I opened my sack. It wasn't there.
